Blog – The Sims Mobile

A new blog appeared with some extra news on The Sims Mobile, written by SimGuru SarahJen. Currently the new mobile game is in soft launch and is only available to play by residents of Brazil, they do this to test the game on a larger scale before launching worldwide. The game has many aspects from The Sims 4, and The Sims Freeplay. Legacy A new element in the game is legacies. Of course, we can create legacies in the other games as well, but they added an extra twist to it. Sims have life goals to achieve, the more life goals a Sim achieves in their lifetime, the better the quality of the heirloom they will leave behind when they retire. And by retire I’m not sure they mean retire life, or retire job? Heirlooms can open up possibilities for future generations, like new hobbies, perks, careers and more. Play together We had already heard we could play together, attend parties from friends, but the blog tells us a bit more of how it works. As said, you can attend parties with real life friends, but you can also live together! You can develop relationships with your friends sims, however, the relationship type is private, but the relationship progress is shared. So in your game, your Sims can be lovers, while in your friends game, they can be enemies. Read the full blog here and if you have questions or feedback for Maxis, head on over to the...

No plans for a Console version of The Sims 4

Over the years, all The Sims games got a console version. Though there have always been rumours The Sims 4 would be coming to the consoles as well, SimGuruLyndsay stated there are NO plans to release a console version of The Sims 4 any time soon. I want to clarify that we have no plans for a console version of The Sims 4 anytime in the near future. Ignore the rumors. — Lyndsay Pearson (@SimGuruLyndsay) July 26, 2016 Once there is official news of a console version of The Sims 4, we will keep you...

How to get SimCity Buildit to work on PC.

How to get SimCity Buildit to work on PC.

I love the new SimCity Buildit game, but I usually only play on my phone while travelling. When I’m at home I play games on my computer. Did you know you can play Mobile Apps on your PC? For this to work you need the following: a Google account (it can be your gmail) Bluestack app player – The software is free, but then charges $2/month unless you download apps from Bluestacks sponsors (wikipedia – I have no experience with this yet) Optional: Facebook account (This is for synchronization between your phone and PC) Download and set up Bluestack app player Bluestack app player is an Android emulator. This means that it emulates an Android environment on your PC and let’s you use and play Android Apps. It is worth noting, emulators very often will be a bit laggy as they are simulating an environment instead of having a dedicated Android environment. So you might notice some lag in the app! You can download the Bluestack app player here. Use all the standard options to install it. Initializing takes a long time, do not worry about that. Once installed it get’s a bit tricky, you need to connect to the play store. Search for SimCity Build It at the left top. It won’t find the app at first and then it will ask you to connect to online store. Sign in with your gmail account or create a new google account. As soon as you have gone through all the options of syncing your app player to android/google account search for SimCity Build It again and download it, in my case it is already installed. Play SimCity Build It Start the game and play it, you will notice that it is a bit laggy. But you got the game on your PC! The way to control your game will take some getting used to, remember this game is optimized for tablets/phones, not PCs! What about the game on my phone/tablet? If you want to continue with your savegame from your phone/tablet, you can sync it through two ways. If you have an android device, you’re in luck and you can sync through the google play store or Facebook If you have an iOS device you will need to use Facebook. Play SimCity Build It in the Bluestack App player till you can build a town hall. Then go to settings and click on of these options: It will ask you if you want to lose the city you just build for the sync’ed version, say yes and there you have your previous city.   Have...

Everything you need to know about SimCity BuildIt

Everything you need to know about SimCity BuildIt

On help.ea.com Maxis released a lot of articles that explain the different features of SimCity Buildit. I hope the release of all these articles means that SimCity BuildIt is getting ready for a global launch, it is currently in a soft launch phase to make sure the game works well. If you are in Canada, New-Zealand or Australia (lucky you!) check out your App Store or Google Play store for the game. In SimCity BuildIt you build a city and to upgrade your buildings you have to manufacture resources. It takes (real life) time to make these resources. There is in-game currency (SimCash) you can buy with real money and just like with other games, SimCash helps you progress faster. What I especially like the sound of is that you can specialize your city just like in the main SimCity game. Then there are Disaster Challenges, I like challenges! Here are links to all the different articles: The new Mayor’s guide to SimCity BuildIt Playing SimCity BuildIt while offline Save your game and make social connections in SimCity BuildIt Building and improving your residential zones in SimCity BuildIt Government buildings in SimCity BuildIt Buying, selling, shipping, and dealing in SimCity BuildIt Providing Services for your citizens in SimCity BuildIt Specializations in SimCity BuildIt Crafting and manufacturing in SimCity BuildIt Building and maintaining roads in SimCity BuildIt Expanding your city and using City Storage Most of them are basic explanations/tutorials, no in-depth guides on how much time everything will take or how much in things will cost. Do you like free games with optional microtransactions? I am a fan, I like it when I can try a game without immediately spending money it and I also like it when I can play a game for just a little bit and close it (the bus trip to work for example). Then when I have time...
