There are 5 ways to earn Simoleons in The Sims Freeplay: farming, baking, careers, the dog and house bonuses. For farming and baking, the money and XP you earn is increased by 50% if your Sim is inspired!

Farming

The easiest and best way to earn money is farming. You buy a farm plot for 20

Simoleons and can plant crops for money and experience. The following table shows

how many Simoleons and XP you can earn for growing each crop, and how long they take to grow.

The rightmost columns show how much profit and XP you can get per hour for growing the crops. However, you may not have time to sit and re-plant your crops constantly. If you can be focused for a full hour on the game, Bell Peppers are the most profitable, but if you can only look once an hour Watermelons are a better option.

Baking

Baking overall does not earn you as many simoleons as Farming, however it does earn a lot more XP! To bake treats your Sim needs a stove from the Buy Mode (costs 350-5000). More expensive stoves do not decrease baking time.

Job

Jobs overall does not earn much money/XP, but its a good way to tell your sims to go away for a few hours when you need to sleep or work.

There are five levels to each career. The first four levels all have job titles, and the fifth does not. When your Sim reaches the fifth level, their job title goes blank and they earn no more job performance to increase their job level.

The best job to have in The Sims Freeplay in the long run is the Athlete job. Although at the lower levels it has the lowest rewards, it also has the biggest rewards at the highest level. The tables below show how much money and XP your Sim will get at each level of every career.

Dog

Your first sim has a dog, you will have noticed he runs around, he barks and gets a shovel icon above his head. When you tap the shovel, he digs for treasure! The treasures are usually small amounts of XP or Simoleons, but occasionally you might get lucky and dig up an LP, so if you have time to spare it is worth sitting and watching the dog.

Treasure hunting!

Bonus from buildings

Every building that you place in the neighbourhood gets you a bonus of Simoleons or XP (or both). You see the following image in the neighbourhood when you can collect money:

It’s not a lot but if you are paying attention to the game and collect them every time, it can add up.
