The Sims 4 Werewolves Game Pack announced

Written by moza

Yesterday saw the announcement of the latest The Sims 4 game pack, and it’s one that’s got me really excited!

I’ve always loved my paranormal Sims – in The Sims 3, I had whole towns filled with various groups of paranormals.  However, the selection The Sims 4 has been fairly sparse.  You can only create Spellcasters, Vampires and Mermaids in Create-a-Sim, and I don’t really include Aliens in with Occults as they are called this time round.  So, the idea of adding Werewolves to the mix has immediately got all kinds of story ideas floating round my head!

From the trailer, we can immediately see a few things.

First, a new world, Moonwood Mill, home to two distinct packs – the Moonwood Collective and the Wildfangs – which you can choose to join and, maybe one day lead.  Anyone who has seen me on The Platinum Simmers Twitch channel knows I love my world tours, so stay tuned for that post-release!

There’s a lot of CAS assets, not just specific to creating the Werewolf side of your Sims – which appears to be done in a similar way to other occult sims, meaning you can either keep the states linked and similar, or unlink them for a total change.  Imagine the skinniest guy in town turning into the biggest, buffest alpha wolf!  Both the CAS assets and the build/buy assets look to be an interesting mix – I’d class a lot of it as punk/grunge on first impressions, but that maybe says more about me than the pack!

We’ve also been given information on 2 upcoming base game updates as well – body hair, and a small telescope – finally!  There will also be an exclusive pack version of the telescope.

The pack also promises a lot of new activities around joining and socialising with a pack.  I’m curious to see if you can have a lone wolf, too.

There’s a deep dive live stream on Twitch and YouTube on 10th June at 11am PST – 7pm UK time – where we’ll find out more, and the pack itself releases the following week on the 16th.

I have high hopes for this one!
